Eyelid Lift:
Eyelid Lift- Blepharoplasty Procedure in Turkey:
Eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty, is a surgical procedure that aims to improve the appearance of the eyelids by removing excess fat, skin, and muscle tissue. This operation can be performed on the upper and/or lower eyelids.
During the procedure, general anesthesia is typically used. The surgeon begins by making an incision along the natural fold lines of the eyelid to remove excess skin and fat tissue.
After removing excess skin, the surgeon tightens and shapes the remaining skin and muscle tissue to achieve a natural and youthful appearance of the eyelids. The incisions are closed with fine stitches and covered with sterile dressings.
The recovery time for an eyelid lift is typically about a week. During this time, pain medication and cooling compresses can be used to reduce swelling and pain. It is recommended to avoid strenuous activities and get enough rest to recover.
Procedures performed in eyelid surgery:
The procedure using eyelid aesthetic surgery usually takes between 20 and 30 minutes for each eyelid.
In lid aesthetics, small amounts of excess skin, underlying muscle tissue, and herniated fat pads are removed. Then, these structures are closed anatomically one by one. Since enough excess skin is removed from the upper eyelid, this correction lasts almost a lifetime.
However, bags and tissues should never be aggressively removed. After the procedure, the suture line is placed on the eyelid fold, as this area contains its own lines and wrinkles and because it is very loose tissue, a very unclear or even invisible scar is formed.
At the lower eyelid, a cut is made directly under the eyelashes, excess muscle, orbital fat, and skin are removed as needed, and if necessary, the muscle layer is strengthened to correct sagging.
After aesthetic eyelid surgery:
Since very thin bands are used in the postoperative phase, you can see your surroundings. There is no closure of the eyes after this operation. Applying ice packs to the eyes in the first 24 hours reduces swelling and bruising. However, swelling and bruising occur in any case.
If the eyelid skin is too loose, it will immediately swell, but will heal just as quickly. The suture line is cleaned and the bands are renewed at the control 2 days later.
Swelling and bruising on the eyelids last for 5-7 days and the person can return to work after 5 days. 1 month after the eyelid lift, the eyelid lift becomes invisible and recovery is complete 6 months after the operation.
