Mastopexy Breast Lift Surgery in Turkey
A mastopexy, also known as a breast lift, is a surgical procedure in which breast tissue is lifted and the nipple position is corrected to achieve a firmer and aesthetically pleasing breast shape.
The operation is performed under general anesthesia and begins with an incision around the areola that extends vertically downward to the breast crease. Then, excess skin is removed, and breast tissue is lifted and repositioned to achieve a firmer and higher breast shape while the nipple position is corrected. In some cases, breast volume can also be increased with an implant to achieve the desired volume and shape.
After the operation, the patient typically needs to spend 1 to 2 nights in the hospital to ensure no complications arise. In the following weeks, the patient must wear special compression clothing to reduce swelling and support healing.

Mastopexy breast lift surgeries are performed in the hospital under general anesthesia and typically last around 3 hours. After the surgery, pain is typically mild. Swelling occurs for 4-5 days and begins to heal after one week. Afterwards, some dressings are applied, and the sutures heal in approximately 10-12 days with no need for removal, as aesthetic sutures are used.
In the early stages, the breasts will be upright and higher, and after 1 month, the inframammary fold will return to its natural form. Patients can return to work within 3-4 days after the operation. It is recommended to avoid heavy and strenuous physical activities for 1 month.
